We met Agnes, a graduate of South African School of Theology in Rustenburg, in 2003 while she was teaching a Bible study in a local prison. From the very start, we knew Agnes to be a strong and God-fearing woman with a fierce love for anyone God put in front of her. In 2007, YWAM Rustenburg began to serve Agnes by assisting her in outreach to children in her community. No longer working at the prison, Agnes views her community as her congregation and the place where God has called her to pastor. Over the years, Agnes has always had children come and go from her home. Since 2008 we’ve had the privilege of supporting her by providing food to the children who stop at her house on the way home from school, which now averages about 90 children per day. The General Motors ChildLife Fund together with GM Westvaal in Rustenburg are an official sponsor for Agnes’s House as she serves her community. God is using Agnes to bring light into dark places every single day. Agnes is a mighty woman of God and we thank the Lord for her and her presence in her community.
